Leroy Wyatt

Waynesville, Leroy Anson Wyatt, age 73, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Brian Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late James Robert and Rhoda Conard Wyatt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Leona and Undine and four brothers, Hiram, Randolph, James, and William Wyatt. Leroy was employed as a forklift operator for Oaks Unlimited. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Louvene Justice Wyatt; a son, Tony Wyatt and his wife, Susan, of Clyde; two daughters, Jackie Foster and her husband, Calvin, of Clyde and Glenda Wyatt of Morganton; six sisters, Lily Mae, Ethel, Mary, Josephine, Ellen and Flora, all of Waynesville; seven grandchildren, Toni, Peter, Laura, Calvin, William, Adam, and Benjamin; and nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Danni, Caleb, Thomas, Makenzie, Makayla, Keliy "Willa", and Lillian. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Austin Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday evening. Pallbearers will be William Foster, Calvin Newton, Peter Wyatt, Channing Justice, Earl Creson, and Freddie Moody. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Tony Wyatt, 1460 Thompson Cove Road, Clyde, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
