Lessie Putnam

Lessie Kiser Putnam, age 82, died Saturday, January 29, 2005 at the Brian Center of Waynesville. She was a native Winston-Salem and was the daughter of the late Garland C. and Samantha Johnson Kiser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Letch H. Putnam who died in 2002 and three brothers. She retired from American Enka Corp. with 34 years of service and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Gail Medford and her husband, George of Clyde; two grandsons, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter and a great grandson. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Matt Pruett and Reverend Virgil Holloway officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, 483 Sunset Circle, Canton, NC 28716.
