Lila Cannon

Lila Elizabeth Rogers Cannon passed away on October 9, 2022 at Mission Memorial Hospital.

A native of Candler, Lila was born to the late Frank Olas and Mildred Elizabeth McElrath Rogers.

Lila was a devoted member of Glady Missionary Baptist Church and was a dedicated Sunday school teacher for over fifty years. She also committed twenty-one years to Upper Hominy Fire Department, where she worked as an office manager. Lila was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed mystery novels as well as British mystery television shows. She was a wonderful cook and took pleasure in spoiling her family with home-cooked meals and serving as the number one caregiver to all.

Lila is survived by her husband of 62 years, William H. Cannon; three daughters, Sherri Bradley and her husband, Rick, Cynthia Cannon, and April Cannon; three grandchildren, Audra Bradley Aiello and her husband, Thomas, Daniel Nunley, and Jessica Worley; and three great-grandchildren, Angelina Bradley, Arya Aiello, and Leo Aiello.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Rogers officiating.

The care of Mrs. Cannon has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Candler.
