Lillian Blake

Waynesville, NC - Lillian Spivey "Lil" Blake, 83, of 284 Vista Road, died on August 31, 2017 at Elizabeth House Hospice.

Lillian was born to Raymond and Sallie Bryan Spivey on September 6, 1933.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years, Hutaff Blake.

She was a member of Long's Chapel United Methodist Church of Waynesville, NC. Lillian was the owner of the Children's Shop in downtown Lumberton, NC with her sister, Betty Tedder, for 30 years.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Sallie Blake Goins and her husband, Todd, of Waynesville, NC; a son, Benjamin Hutaff Blake, Jr. of Waynesville; a sister, Joan Spivey Teague and her husband, Joe, of Port St. Lucie, FL; four grandchildren, Kellie Goins and Blake Goins of Waynesville, NC, Allyson Blake Davis and husband, Dustin, of Cleveland, NC, Benjamin Blake and wife, Holly, of Mooresville, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Lillian Rae Davis and Ellis Sawyer Blake.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the Garden of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Reverend Stan Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial gifts to be made to the Elizabeth House Hospice, 581 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
