Waynesville - Lillian Henson Clark, 88, passed away on Tuesday, October 09, 2018 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Vernon and Bessie Wooten Henson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Vernon Clark, who died in 2014; a son, Larry Wayne Clark, who died in 2016; three sisters, Hilda Mann, Mary Lou Henson, and Mavis Henson; two brothers, James Weldon and Robert Lee Henson. Lillian was a very active member of Long's United Methodist Church, loved gardening, quilting, reading and most of all her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Terry Joe and Teresa Hipps Clark of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Clour Clark of Clyde; two sisters, Nancy Wilson of Candler and Betty Henson of Canton; and two grandchildren, Christopher William Clark and his wife, Neha Patel, of Indianapolis, Indiana and Brittany Annette Crook of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Aryn Williams-Ruebel officiating. Burial will follow at Long's Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
