Lillian Gaddy

Lillian Muse Gaddy, 84, of 265 Wiggins Road in Candler, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville. A native of Buncombe County, she was born on July 14, 1926 to the late Lon Albert Muse, who died in 1960, and the late Ollie McFee Muse, who died in 1986. Lillian graduated from Blanton's Business College and worked for the National Climatic Data Center for 30 years and was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert H. Gaddy of Candler; two daughters, Linda Pless and her husband, William "Bill" , of Candler, and Judy Reed and her husband, WC, of Lake Norman; three grand children, Teresa Pressley and her husband, Trevor, Genell Allmond and her husband, Timothy, and David Pless and his wife, Carrie, all of Candler; six great-grand children, Dillon and Dalton Pressley, Selah, Noah, and Noble Allmond, and Maggie Pless, all of Candler; and one sister, Mary Ward and her husband , Walter, of Candler. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Ridgeway Baptist Church in Candler with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. Pallbearers will be Rusty Stark, Matthew Braswell, Eric, Dan, and David Gaddy, and Barry Bumgarner. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 525 Old 19/23 Hwy, Candler, N.C. 28715.
