Lillian Jordan

Canton – Lillian Verlyn Burnette Jordan, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Maggie Henson Burnette and had lived most of her life in Haywood County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Jordan, who passed away in 1989; three sisters, Hazel Whitt, Mary McGuinn and Ruth Burnette and six brothers, Paul, Roy, Horace (Ken), Jack, Ray and Howard Burnette. Lillian was a lifelong member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Carolyn Davis and her husband, Wilfred, of Canton; a son, Jerry Jordan and his wife, Evon, of Oakboro, NC; four grandchildren, Roger Davis and his wife, Kim, Eddie Davis and his wife, Kim, Brent Jordan and his wife, Mary and Aaron Jordan and his wife, Cherie; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 17, 2017 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to acknowledge and give a special thanks to CarePartners Hospice and her caregivers for the wonderful care they provided.
