Lillian Perez

Canton-Lillian Marie Lissner Perez, age 87, of the Springdale Community, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel Lissner and was also preceded in death by her husband, Zoilo A. Perez, who died in 2006. She was a retired secretary of Barnett Bank. Lillian loved to read and was very well read, She also loved her cats and the mountains and its people. She is survived by a daughter, Candi Perez Dragonetti and her husband, Richard, of Canton; one sister, Muriel Wurttemberger, of Valley Stream, NY; one granddaughter, Kimberly Rose Phelps, of Miami, FL; and a niece and nephew, Joyce and John Wurttemberger. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2006 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Pam Hurst officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home, and at other times, at the home of the family.
