Lillian Pressley

LILLIAN PRESSLEY "Loving Mother & Grandmother" Canton- Lillian Rogers Pressley, age 89, passed away on Friday, November 07, 2014 at Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Center. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Letha Hightower Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ellis "Jack" Pressley, who died in 1994; and a son, Arnold Pressley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mauriel and her husband, Jim Ledford, of Weaverville and Margaret and her husband, David Marler, of Bethel; a son, Paul and his wife, Wilma Pressley, of Asheville; a daughter-in-law, Betty Pressley, of Canton; a sister, Pauline Harwood of Weaverville; three brothers, Bruce Rogers of Las Vegas, NV, Garland Rogers of Maui, HI, and Ed Rogers of Seattle, WA; 21 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Center Pigeon Baptist Church with the Reverend Scotty Rollins officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
