Lillian Mann Rowland, age 77, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville. A native of Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde James and Blanche Hall Mann. She retired from Southwestern Child Development as a director with 26 years of service and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Lillian enjoyed traveling, music, playing the auto harp, and was a supporter of the Hart Theater. She is survived by her husbandof 31 years, Thomas Anthony Rowland; a daughter, Jamie Biddix and her husband, Johnny, of Canton; three sons, Dwayne Scott of Interlachen, Florida, David Scott and his wife, Candice, of Canton, and Derek Scott and his wife, Kimberly, of Canton; a sister, Evelyn Smith of Clyde; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Darrell Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
