Lillian Shepard

Lillian Shepard, age 70, died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Ulysses and Daisy Keith Warren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Warren; and a sister, June Foster. Lillian was a member of White Rock Baptist Church and she loved her pets and flowers. She was an amazing woman who accomplished everything she set her mind to. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Franklin Shepard; two daughters, Lavonda Darlene Shepard Christopher and her husband, Lee, of Canton, and Karen Lachelle Shepard of Candler; two sisters, Helen Overman and Ruth Sherlin; five brothers, Charles, Frank, Robert, Jerry, and Johnny Warren; and one grandchild, Jonathan Christopher. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn Shepard officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
