Linda Grasty

Maggie Valley, Linda Pugh Grasty, age 72, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Annie Faye Hill Pugh.  Linda was a friendly face at HomeTrust Bank where she served as a bank teller for 20 years.  As her health declined, Linda enjoyed watching tv westerns like The Big Valley.  Affectionately called Granny, she also liked to cross stitch.

Linda is survived by her husband of 25 years, Gil Grasty; one son, Jason Pickard, and his wife, Michele, of Franklinton, NC; two stepdaughters, Julie G. Kendell, and her husband, Michael, and Monica Grasty Sadie, and her husband, Jay, all residing in Florida; two sisters, Ronnie Risley, and her husband, Tim, and Sue Trammell, and her husband, Charles, all residing in Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Caroline, Hannah, Dahlia, Tyler, Kayden, Quinn, and Chloe; and her best friends, Peggy Melville and Barbara Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Maggie Valley United Methodist Church with Reverend Erma Bond officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.
