Linda Head

Canton – Linda Benson Head, 78, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

Linda was a native of Buncombe County and a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruby Rector Benson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne King.  She enjoyed playing board games, Bingo, reading and working puzzles.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul L. Head and five sons, Kenneth Joe Head, Charles Terry Head, Bobby Dale Head, all of Canton, James Richard Head (Cheryl) of Candler, and Michael Ray Head (Tracy) of Waynesville; one sister, Patsy King of Asheville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Considering the current public health situation, a private burial will be held.
