Linda Moody

Waynesville, Linda Eleanor Edwards Moody, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her daughter's residence in Franklin, NC. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Mack and Sarah Euphemia Gibson Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Howell Moody, who died in 1993; a daughter, Lynda Jo Duckett and son-in-law, Jim Duckett. Linda retired from Dayco as an Inspector and was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church. Linda is survived by a daughter, Marlene Jones and her husband, B.C., of Franklin; a sister, Shelbia Putnam and her husband, Bill, of Waynesville; sister-in-law, Ruby Edwards of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Dianne High and her husband, Jimmy, Debbie Glavich and her husband, David, Sandy Hipps and her husband, Thomas, and Bill Jones and his wife, Gayla; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating.
