Linda Duckett Nanney

Linda Duckett Nanney, September 19, 1943 – September 20, 2024 

Linda D. Nanney, 81, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Silver Bluff Village.

Linda was the daughter of the late Harold and Lucile Duckett and a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Charlie) M. Nanney and her son, Stephen Charles Nanney. Linda and Charlie owned and operated Canton Automotive on Park Street for many years. Linda was an active member and held several positions at Canton United Methodist Church

Linda is survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy and Louise Nanney of Waynesville; her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and David Cochran of Cary, NC; Grandson Austin Nanney and his wife, Miranda, and a great granddaughter, Stevie; Linda’s special and long- time friend and neighbor, Billie Green and several cousins, including special cousin Bruce Goodwin who grew up with Linda.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 26 in the mausoleum chapel at Crawford /Ray Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Gordon A. Pike officiating.

Memorials may be made in Linda’s memory to Canton First United Church, Box 1716, Canton, NC 28716.

The care of Mrs. Nanney has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
