Linda Parker

Linda Lucas Parker, age 72, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Troy, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Lucas. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Parker, Jr., who died in 2010. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Canton. Over the years, she enjoyed her many pets. Linda worked for Champion International and John W. Abbott Construction Company. She is survived by her mother, Lois Saunders Lucas of Uwharrie, North Carolina; three sons, Frank Ollis Parker, III and his wife, Brandy, of Candler, Jeffrey Lee Blake and his wife, Patricia, and Alan Reginald Blake and his wife, Michelle, all of Canton; two sisters, Sandra Gooch and her husband, Richard, of Uwharrie, and Carolyn Baker and her husband, Chet, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2014 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dustin James and Reverend Clay J. Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
