Linda Price

Waynesville, Linda "Chris" Price, age 71, of Zurich Lane, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at MedWest-Haywood. A native of Haywood, she was the daughter of Dorothy Putnam Price and the late Jerry George Price. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Janet Evelyn Price. She retired from BASF as a machine operator and enjoyed fishing. Chris was the rock of the family and left her mark on every person she touched. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Price; two sisters, Mary Sue Jenkins and Margaret Lou Franklin (Billy) all of Waynesville; five brothers, Johnny(Pat), Bill(Dorothy), Troy (Deborah), Charlie (Jackie) and James Price (Elizabeth). Chris raised and loved numerous children as her own including Ronnie and Danny Price and Marsha McNeely. Caring for her family was one of the most important things in her life. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Queen and Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Owens Family Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be John, Travis, Matt, Ronnie, Danny and Tony Price and Mark Jenkins. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
