Linda Putnam

Linda Putnam Canton-Linda Harbin Putnam-54 of 178 Beaverdam Heights died Sunday, October 17, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Raymon Taylor and Nellie Ruth Stiles Harbin and was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Harbin. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a former employee of Davis's Satellite Systems. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Charles Putnam, three daughters, Tracy Lee and her husband Robert of Fayetteville, Jenny James and her husband Johnny and Kendra Reeder and her husband Johnathon of Canton, a sister, Doris Swayngim of Asheville, a brother, Danny Harbin of Canton and six grandchildren, Nichole and Jacob Lee, Micah and Riley James and Jaslyn and Hannah Stamey and a lifelong friend, Sue Haney of Canton. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19th in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremations with Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service and at other times the family will be at the residence at 178 Beaverdam Heights in Canton. Pallbearers will be, Doug Haney, Chris Sutton, Kenneth Swayngim, David Sutton, Matt Clark and Terry Putnam. Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church at 39 Robinson Road in Canton, NC 28716.
