Linda Riggins

Waynesville, Linda Garnes Riggins, 77, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Delmar and Pearl Burnette Garnes. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Bill Garnes.

Linda worked as store manager at Goody’s for 24 years. She loved Christian music and traveling with Christian tours. The light of her life was her two grandsons and her faithful companion, Sadee. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Carroll Riggins; her daughter, Melissa Riggins James, and her husband, Patrick, of Canton; and two grandsons, Isaac and Simon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, with Reverend Dan Page officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 27, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Due to Covid-19, all protocols and mandates are requested to be followed, including mask.
