Linwood Mann

Linwood William Mann, age 72, of 1298 Old Clyde Road died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Haywood County and had resided in West Virginia and New York. He was the son of the late Shelbert and Mamie Lenoir Mann and was also preceded in death by a brother Shelbert Mann, Jr. He was a member of Harris Chapel A.M.E. and a member of Fawndale Lodge #363 IBPOE of Asheville. He was a retired urban renewal inspector for the City of Yonkers, New York and was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carrie Reeves Mann; four daughters, Yvonne Brown of Elbert, West Virginia, Tawanna Caldwell of Trenton, NJ, Tonya Mann Jones of Yonkers, NY and Mia Mann Carswell of Rochelle Park, NJ; 5 sons Donald Caldwell of Trenton, NJ, Stacey Reeves of Jacksonville, NC, Tyrone Reeves of Princeton, West Virginia, Elwood Caldwell of Trenton, NJ and Linwood W. "Junie" Mann of Bluefield, West Virginia; 4 sisters, Lillian Tucker of Canton, Elsie Shaw of Washington, DC, Mammie Woodward of Maryland and Minnie Dandridge of Concord, NC 22 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Harris Chapel AME with Reverend Debora M. Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow at Gibsontown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
