Lisa Parker

Waynesville, Lisa Ann Parker, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 28, 2009. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, she had previously lived in Augusta, Georgia and had resided in Haywood County for the last 13 years. She was the daughter of Vickie Bentley and the late Richard Lynn Parker and stepfather, Mike Bentley of Canton. Lisa was an animal lover and a very kind-hearted and loving person. She was always willing to help anyone in need. She was a wonderful mother and friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her lifelong companion, Andy Godbee, Jr.; one son, L. Andy Godbee, III of Waynesville; two daughters, Ashley Godbee and Justice Godbee, both of Waynesville; a half sister, Christie Parker of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a granddaughter on the way. She is also survived by her dearest and best friend, Brenda Guerrero and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of special friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Zeke Listenbee. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
