Lloyd Danny Bailey

Swannanoa, Lloyd Danny Bailey, 80, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Mission Hospital. A Native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late John and Jessie Snelson Bailey. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Talmadge Sexton and a sister, Doris Emagean Reynolds. 

Lloyd was a self-employed painting contractor for many years. He was a former employee at Pony Express and Bell Sysco. He loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Linda Moss Bailey; two daughters, Donna Denise Maninci (Brock) and Deena Lynn Bailey; a son, Danny Lee Bailey; a sister Judy Ann Harper; seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
