Lloyd Brown

Waynesville-Lloyd Boone Brown, age 73, of Pot Leg Road, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Boone and Cora Carver Brown. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Dale Brown; a son, Martin Alan Brown, a sister, Lucille McCord; and a brother, Robert Hugh Brown. He was a retired carpenter. He was an assistant Sunday School teacher, and an Assistant Sunday School Superintendent of Cove Creek Baptist Church, of which he was a member.

He is survived by four sisters, Hilda Morgan, Reba Rhodarmer, and Phyllis McClure, all of Waynesville and Wilma Smith of Clyde.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2003 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2003. Pallbearers will be Scott Brown, Tony Morgan, Johnny Nichols, Randy Smith, Michael McClure, Ethan Phillips, and Tommy Swink.
