Lloyd Conner, Jr.

Sylva, Lloyd Robert "Robbie" Conner, Jr., age 55, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Lloyd Robert Conner, Sr. and the late Betty Jean Moody, he was also proceeded in death by his paternal grandmother, Evia Louise Conner and brother-in-law, Jack Reece, Sr. Robbie was a kind and compassionate man, who loved attending his church, Camp Branch Free Will Baptist. He enjoyed traveling the country as the owner and operator of Conner Moving Services, but more importantly, he cherished his family. In addition to his father, he is survived by a daughter, Tessa Sutton (Brent) of Maggie Valley; two sisters, Pam Reece and Mary McFalls, fiancé (Ricky Mathis) both of Waynesville; three brothers, George Conner (Becky) of Clyde, Jody Conner (Sammie) of Waynesville and Arthur Conner of Balsam; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Balsam Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Swanger and Reverend George DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow at Balsam Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Wells Funeral of Waynesville. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Reece, Jr., Aaron Reece, Colby McFalls, Jonathan, Jamie and Clay Conner. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Crawford, Robert Craven and Steven McFalls. Prior to the services, the family will be gathering at the home of Mary McFalls, 25 Hampshire Drive, Waynesville.
