Lois Bailey

Lois Elizabeth Bailey, 86, of Asheville, passed away January 27th, after an extended illness. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late George and Bertie Wilson Waycaster. She was a Sunday school teacher and member of Gashes Creek Baptist Church, served as secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary for AC Reynolds Volunteer Fire Dept. and was an active member of Good Sam's Club.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Bailey; brother, William Waycaster and sister, Virginia Fisher.
She is survived by her sons, Walter, Jr., Gary and Christopher Bailey; daughter, Elizabeth Cox; sisters, Helen Manning, Lottie Pressely and Louise Creasman; 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, January 31st at Gashes Creek Church Cemetery, Asheville.
Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler is assisting the family.
