Waynesville-Lois Kelly Camp, age 89, formerly of Balsam Drive, died on Monday, May 16, 2005 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. She was a native of Joliet, Illinois, and lived in Buncombe and Haywood Counties since 1951. She was the daughter of the late James and Bertha Kelly. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Edward H. Camp, who died in 1997; a daughter, Claudia McCabe; a son, Christopher Camp; and two sisters, Lucille Zemanek and Delores Kelly. She was a member of First Presbyterian of Waynesville and the Church Circle. She was also a member of Waynesville Garden Club, Waynesville Country Club and Ladies Golf Association, Waynesville Book Club, and Haywood County Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed golf, gardening, reading, and interior decorating. She is survived by a daughter, Katie Angelos and her husband, James, of Brookline, MA; three sons, Ray Camp and his wife, Kristin, of Chicago, IL, Kelly Camp and his wife, Paulette, and Casey Camp and his wife, Elizabeth, both of Waynesville; four grandchildren; and one great grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Episcopal Church Yard. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service, and at other times, at the residence of Kelly Camp, 296 Grandview Circle. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be John McCabe, James Angelos, Benny and Bobby Cogdill, Bob Leatherwood, Dr. Robert Earnest, Dr. Earnest Stines, and Paul Bennett. Memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Foundation, 262 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
