Lois Chason

Taylors, SC – Lois Marie Hardin Chason, age 84, of Wood Heights Avenue, formerly of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 following a brief illness. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Hobert Hardin and Janie Mashburn Hardin. Lois is survived by her two sons, Dr. Roy Foster Chason, Jr, and his wife, Carol, of Newport, Tennessee and Dr. Steve Douglas Chason and his wife, Amanda, of Augusta, Arkansas; and one sister, Alieta Cable and her husband, Wiley, of Canton. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Elder Daniel Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon prior to the service at the funeral home. Additionally, a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church, 386 Cool Springs Church Road, Travelers Rest, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family request any memorials go to the Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church, c/o David Sisk, 390 Old Saluda Dam Road, Easley, SC 29640; or the charity of one's choice.
