Lois Glance

Lois Ann Robinson Glance, age 76, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at The Homestead. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Cannie Mease and Cumi Worley Robinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Glance, who died in 2002 and David Glance, who died in 2001; one daughter, Vickie Wells, who died in 1978; and one sister, Mary Frances Owen. Lois retired from Champion International with over 20 years of service and was a member of Beaverdam United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ralph M. Glance; two sons, Terry Glance and Bobby Glance and his wife Melanie Singleton Glance, all of Canton; one sister, Louise Rhodes of Canton; one brother, Kenneth Robinson of Canton; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Beaverdam United Methodist Church with the Reverend Richard Gould officiating. Burial will follow at Beaverdam Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
