Lois Hampton

"1919 – 2016" Canton - Lois Raulerson Hampton, age 96, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida but having lived in Haywood County since 1946, she was a daughter of the late Nick and Sarah Wadley Raulerson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Claude E. Hampton, who died in 2003; two brothers, Ralph and Frank Raulerson; and three sisters, Ann Wilkins, Katie Casey, and Eugenia Squires. Lois was a retired Federal employee, retiring in 1972 from the National Climatic Data Center where she was a Meteorological Technician Supervisor for more than 26 years. She was a member of NARFE, Chapter 1420, and the First United Methodist Church of Canton. At her request, private family services were held.
