Canton, GA - Lois Justice Metcalf, age 98, formerly of Canton, North Carolina, passed away at the Canton Nursing Center in Canton, Georgia on Saturday, February 17th after an extended illness.

A native of Haywood County, Mrs. Metcalf was the daughter of the late Nellie and Samuel Justice, and the wife of the late Franklin Edward Metcalf. She was a lifelong member of Canton First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Metcalf was a housewife and lived in Haywood County most of her life. She spent the last 11 years with her son in Canton, Georgia.

Surviving are her two sons, Terry Metcalf of Canton, Georgia and Jim Metcalf of Tampa, Florida as well as four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Dr. Jack Sammons officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
