Waynesville, Wonderful mother, precious saint of God, passed away, Saturday, June 22, 2013, at The Homestead. She was born on June 20, 1933 to James and Lula Aldridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfred W. Price, who passed away in 1987, a granddaughter, three brothers and three sisters. Surviving are three sons, Reverend Wayne Price and his wife Joyce of Franklin; Roger Price and his wife Terri of Clyde and James Price (J.K.) and his wife Tina of Waynesville; two daughters, Wanda Fletcher and her husband Joel of Clyde and Michelle (Shelley) Edwards and her husband Phillip of Cherokee; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a brother David Aldridge and a sister Mary Putnam both of Waynesville. Mrs. Price was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church in Waynesville for more than 30 years. She was known throughout many states for her beautiful voice and her musical talents, but most of all for her love for the Lord. What a blessing to have known such a giant in the faith, and to have had such a beautiful mother and a godly example. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Bible Baptist Church with her pastor, Reverend Dwight Banks, her son, Reverend Wayne Price and Reverend Raymond Brooks officiating. Burial will be at Fines Creek Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, David Price, Daniel Price, Gary Caudle and Randall Smith, her nephews, Kenny Aldridge and Lawrence Rathbone.
