Lois Wood

Thelma Lois Todd Wood, age 81, formerly of Candler died Friday, November 26, 2004 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. She was a native of Clayton, NC and the daughter of the late James Leroy and Iola Ivey Todd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Samuel Wood, Sr. who died in 2002; a daughter, Joyce Marie Wood Beck; three brothers, James, Billy and Ashely Todd and a sister, Doris Barber. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Ernest Samuel Wood, Jr., and his wife, Judy of Clyde and Lonnie Ray Wood and his wife, Glenda of Robbinsville; three sisters, Ruth Burns of Clayton, NC, Louise Haswell of Wendell, NC and Gearldene Fincher of Candler; two brothers, Kenneth Todd of Clayton, NC and Norman Todd of Candler; three grandchildren, Sherry Hill, Kevin Ray Beck and Todd Ashley Wood and two great grandchildren, Mary and Ernie Hill. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Charlie Simpson officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum in Enka. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Norman Todd, 266 Liberty Road, Candler.
