Londo Franklin

Waynesville, Londo Franklin, 87, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Silver Bluff Rehabilitation Center. Born in Haywood County, he was the son of the late James and Frankie Sutton Franklin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Jane Franklin, who died in 2010; five sisters; and four brothers. Londo was a former employee of Lea Industries for 17 years and retired from the Town of Waynesville's Water Department after 22 years of service. Londo loved spending time with his grandchildren and loved to farm. Londo is survived by a daughter, Pat Price (Johnny) of Waynesville; a son, Billy James Franklin (Lucy) of Waynesville; two sisters, Jimmie Parton and Mattie Cook, both of Tennessee; a brother, Monroe Franklin, of Waynesville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Cove Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Putnam and Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
