Lorene Guy

Canton-Lorene Moore Guy-79, of 1670 Queentown Road, died Monday, March 10, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

She was a daughter of the late Earl Herbert and Dollie Arizona Blanche Harkins Moore and the wife of the late Elbert Blake "Blackie" Guy who died in 2000. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Everett Moore. She was a member of Sunny Point Baptist Church and an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Center Pigeon Fire Dept.

She is survived by four daughters, Rose Setzer, Regina and her husband Reverend Doug Warren, Judy Ray and her husband Terry, all of Canton and Donna and her husband Reverend Dennis Jarrard of Freeport, IL, one son, Tommy Guy and his wife Rita of Canton, two sisters, Louise Taylor of Canton and Frances Peeler of Dallas, TX, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2003 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Ensley. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons; Bryan Warren, Jeff Setzer Dustin Jarrard, Blake Guy, Johnny Ray and Jarrod Deitz.
