Loretta Diaz Green, age 65, passed away on August 13, 2024, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Born on March 6, 1959, in Miami, Florida, Loretta was known for her boundless generosity and kindness. Described as everyone’s “Nana”, she touched many lives with her nurturing spirit and her innate desire to help and love others.
Loretta found immense joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she considered her absolute pride and joy. She is survived by her children; Elizabeth and Darin Inman, and Tina and Johnny Hannah; her grandchildren, Joseph and Isabella Inman, and Jake and Jessica Hannah; her sisters, Maria Diaz and Grace Diaz; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Inman and her late husband, Bobby Green.
An avid gardener, Loretta took great pride in her backyard flower garden. She eagerly awaited football seasons to bond over games with her grandson and cherished moments spent shopping, doing nails, and watching “The Golden Girls” with her granddaughter. Loretta was also a devoted fan of Hallmark movies, having seen every one of them.
Loretta’s life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, leaving behind countless cherished “Loretta stories”.
Please join the family as they gather to celebrate the life of Loretta Green on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Wells Events Center, 296 N. Main Street, Waynesville, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. This will be a time to gather with family and friends to celebrate a life well lived and a life well loved. Come prepared to share stories, memories and the joy that Loretta brought into the lives of everyone who knew her. Light refreshments will be served during the drop-in gathering.
