Rhinehart, age 96, passed away peacefully Friday, June 30, 2006 at Brian Center. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Rene Mason Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Berry Rhinehart, who died December 3, 1965; daughters, Edna Mae Rhinehart, Wilena Shuler Ammons, Linda Bolin; sons, Hilliard and John "J.B." Rhinehart and two grandchildren. She was a homemaker and was known for her unique sense of humor. She was loved by all who met her. She is survived by one daughter, Effie Yarborough and her husband, John of Waynesville; daughter-in-law, Margaret Rhinehart and two sons - in-law, Wendell Bolin and Ray Ammons; one sister, Julie Shelton and her husband Zeb of Greer, SC; three brothers, Frank Griffin, Jack Griffin and his wife, Doris all of Waynesville and Gilbert Griffin and his wife, Christine of Asheville; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006 in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with Reverend Larry Coates officiating. Burial will follow at Saunook Plott Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 1, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
