Lou Robinson

Waynesville- Lou Ellen Robinson, age 91, of Chestnut Park Drive, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Bynum C. and Nettie Mae Cagle Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Dwayne Robinson, who died in 1977; a daughter, Rose Muse and her husband, T.T.Muse; two infant daughters; two grandsons, Stephen Eric Caldwell and Timothy Blaine Cochran and several brothers and sisters. She was employed by Haywood County Hospital as a nurse for 16 years and was a charter member of Hazelwood Baptist Church. Lou Ellen enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting and cooking. She is survived by two daughters, Maebell Truitt Parham and Louise Cochran of Waynesville; two son, Robert D. Robinson and his wife, Cinda of Sumter, SC and Charles Lee Robinson and his best friend, Peggie Tyler of Waynesville; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren, all of whom called her Nannie and her Pomeranian, Benji, who was always at her side. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in the chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville with Reverend Don Letzring and Reverend Charles Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Robinson, Dale Wyatt, Chad Wyatt, Burrell Mason, Joe Moore and David Smith. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to Haywood County Rescue Squad, P.O.
