Louetta Hooper

Waynesville-Louetta Sanford Hooper, 62, of 173 Valley View Terrace, died peacefully at her home following a long illness of ALS on February 25, 2006. She was the daughter of the late John Wilson and Lydia Randall Sanford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Carl and Wilma Hooper. She was active member of Hazelwood Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed camping at Nantahala with family and friends. She was avid walker and enjoyed having breakfast at Hardee's with all friends. She is survived by her Husband of 46 years, Ross Hooper; two daughters, Ginger Hooper, of the home, Julia Cardinal, and her husband, Leo, of Atlanta, GA; one son, Jeff Hooper, of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Ruth Reno, and her husband, Corky, of Clyde; and one brother, Woodrow Sanford, and his wife Darlene, of Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Hazelwood Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Serving as pall bearers will be Steve Elder, Walter Blanton, Harris Pryor, Jerry Parris, Heath Sutton, and Marty Scruggs. Honorary pall bears will be Bob Palmer, Fred Buchanan, Ernest Sutton, Bobby Jo McClure, Ed Leatherwood, Robert Palen and John Allen.
