Louise Davis

"1929 - 2017"

Waynesville, Louise Franklin Davis, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 in Evans, Georgia at the Morningside Assisted Living facility.

A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Vance and Willia Mae Allman Bryson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond "Ray" Franklin; second husband, Robert "Bob" Davis; three brothers; and three sisters. Louise was a faithful member of Calvary Road Baptist Church. She was also a devoted volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

Louise is survived by her son, Dr. Robert Charles "Bob" Franklin, of Augusta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Meryl Elizabeth and Eric Raymond Franklin; four stepchildren, Bobbie Suttles, and her husband, Bob, Brenda Smathers, and her husband, Dennis, Jerry Davis, and his wife, Mary Dean and Earl Davis, and his wife, Tris "Tiny".

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend John Swanger, III, Reverend J.D. Grant and Reverend Mark Golden officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
