Louise Holt

Spring Creek, Louise Bertha Holt, age 85, of Hot Springs, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at The Hermitage in Dillsboro. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Riley and Bonnie Duckett West. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reece Holt, who died in 2006 and four brothers. She retired after 22 years service from Burlington Industries where she worked as a spinner. Louise enjoyed reading and gardening and was a member of Lusk Chapel Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Charles Holt and his wife, Trellis, of Spring Creek; two brothers, Dave West and his wife, Pat, of Hot Springs and Frank West of Detroit, Michigan; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Lusk Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Moore, Reverend Jeff Moore and Reverend Jonathan Sluder officiating. Burial will follow at the Flats of Spring Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
