Louise Scott

Canton-Louise Carver Scott, age 78, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Polly Hall Carver. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Ray Scott who died in January of 2013; and a sister, Bonnie Mae Carver. Louise enjoyed gardening, fishing and caring for her family. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Gene Scott and his wife, Carla; Dewayne Scott and his wife, Cheryl and Gerald Scott all of Canton; one brother, Bobby V. Carver of Canton; grandchildren, Josh and Brooke Scott, Jess Scott, Matt Rodgers, Keisha and Jonathan Lanning, Cortney and Zayne McGaha, Audrey Scott and Chelsea Scott; and great-grandchildren, Heidi and Nathan Lanning, Mackenzie McGaha and one on the way. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Long Branch Baptist Church with the Reverend Martin Worley, Reverend Jack Scott and Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. Burial will follow at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
