Louise Taylor

March 30, 1916 — August 11, 2004

Canton-Louise Moore Taylor, age 88, of Moore Road, died Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. She was a daughter of the late Earl Herbert and Dolly Harkins Moore and was a member of Sunny Point Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Patty and Reverend T. M. Gibson and June and Ronald McClure, all of Canton, one son, Joel Taylor and his wife Gladys of Waynesville, one sister, Frances Peeler of Dallas, TX, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2004 at Sunny Point Baptist Church where Mrs. Taylor will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Reverend James Roberts and Reverend Bill Terrell will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton. Memorials may be made to Sunny Point Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 132 Sunny Point Drive, Canton, NC 28716.
