Louise Scott

Louise Worley Scott, age 83, died on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Chester F. and Genie West Worley. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Curtis Scott, who died in 2007; a daughter, Edith Dawn Scott; 5 sisters; and six brothers. She was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Louise loved her flowers and gardening. She enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and listening to bluegrass and country music. She is survived by a son, Terry Scott; two daughters, Janice Gibson and her husband, Steve, all of Canton and Marsha Scott of Greenville, SC; a sister, Margaret King; a special friend "Hershey Lil Boy"; six grandchildren, Melissa Radford, Pamela McCarson, Beverly Taylor, Kerry Autry, Cheryl Pate, and Philip Scott; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
