Lowell Browning, Jr.

Waynesville, Lowell C. Browning, Jr., age 66, of 35 Fuller Drive, died on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Lowell C. Browning, Sr. and Marion Chambers Browning. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the Veterans Association in Clyde. Lowell retired in 1996 after 25 years service from the Dayco Corporation and was a member of Beth Eden Baptist Church. Lowell was a great husband, daddy, and grandfather who truly loved his family and will be missed tremendously. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cora Kilby Browning; one daughter, Teresa Mitchell and her husband, David; one brother, Terry Browning and his wife, Rebecca, and two grandchildren, Tiffany and Angela Mitchell, all of Waynesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Beth Eden Baptist Church with Reverend Dale Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church and at other times, at the residence.
