Luci Hughes

Luci Hughes, 79, of Hendersonville passed away on Saturday, April 28th at the Elizabeth House, with her family beside her. She was born in Grassy Fork, TN to the late David and Ollie Raines Greene. Luci had been a Youth League softball coach, Den mother, Scout Leader and owned 'Luci's Book Nook' in Royal Pines. She was a member of the Middle Cross Baptist Church and was a Nurse and Surgical Technician at Mission Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hughes; and brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Ruth Greene.
She is survived by her daughter, Nanci Searcy, and husband Michael, of Hendersonville; son, Kim Hughes of Arden; grandson, Cody Searcy; brother, David Ray Green, and wife, Annie, of Nebo and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 2nd at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler with the Rev. Robert Garren officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
