Lucia Warren

Waynesville-Lucia Warren, age 84, formerly of Lodge Lane, died Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. She was born in Jackson, Alabama and was the daughter of the late Claude Morris and Margaret Palmer Warren. She graduated from Montevallo University with a BA Degree. She attended the University of Florida, and received a Masters Degree. She taught 28 years at Fletcher Senior High in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She was a member of Selva Marina Country Club. In 1972, she came to Waynesville and spent six months, and in 1988 she moved here permanently. She was an active member of the Waynesville Country Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesville. She is survived by a brother, Dr. Claude Morris Warren, Jr. of Mobile, Alabama; and by two sisters, Lee Warren Kenyon of West Hartford, Connecticut, and Elizabeth Warren Hyde of Clearwater, Florida. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. The Reverend John H. Christy, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Waynesville, P.O.
