Lucille Christopher

"1936 – 2015" Candler – Ella Lucille Fields Christopher, age 79, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Care Partner's Hospice Solace Center in Asheville. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Lang and Cora Hyatt Fields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lee Christopher, Sr., who died in 1993; a daughter, Audrey Gail Christopher; and two sons, Walter Eddie Christopher and David Eugene Fields. Lucille was a homemaker and attended Open Bible Independent Church. She is survived by five sons, Alvin Lee Christopher, Jr. of Canton, William Earnest Christopher of Gerton, Terry Joe Christopher, (Terri), of Candler, Perry Joe Christopher, (Dee Dee), of Clyde, and Gary Dwayne Christopher of Kentucky; two sisters, Libby Duckett of Leicester, and Katherine Stephenson of Candler; one brother, J.B. Fields of Reems Creek; nineteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild (expected). A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2015 at White Rock Baptist Church Cemetery with Chaplain David Ingram officiating.
