Lucille Hannah

Waynesville, Lucille White Hannah, age 91, of Liberty Church Road, died on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James and Lydia Wright White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Cleveland Hannah, who died in 1987; one daughter, Guylene Hannah Davis; two sons, James Cleveland "Buddy" Hannah and Marshall Boone Hannah; two sisters, Maude Teague and Jimmie Boone; and four brothers, Robert, Hugh, Jack, and Billy White. Lucille retired from Dayco Corporation and enjoyed flowers, gardening, and cooking. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She is survived by one brother, Ray White, of Washington; six grandchildren, Jamie and Jackie Davis, Jody Davis and his fiancé, Gena Luck, and Gene Davis and his wife, Kathy, all of Waynesville, and Stacey and his wife, Jenni, and Angel Hannah, of Albany, Georgia; 10 great-grandchildren, Adam, Rochelle, Dustin, and Dillon Davis, Alexis, Diana, Caleb, and Elijah Hannah, Carrie Bryson, and Andrea Buchanan and her husband, Chad; and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Millard Grant, Reverend Jerry Nelson, and Reverend Jarvis Teague officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Gene, Gary, Ed, and Everett White, and Bill and Alvin Teague. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the church.
