Lucille Parton

Waynesville, Lucille Medford Parton, age 74, of Jasine Way, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Annie Mae Robinson Medford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Parton, who died in 1993; a sister, Blanche Medford; and two brothers, Dennis and Buddy Roy Medford. Lucille loved her grandchildren and enjoyed going to Maple Leaf Adult Respite and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Lucille is survived by a daughter, Reneé Scott (Jeff) of Canton; a son, Larry Parton (Bobbie) of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Tabitha, Storm (Asia) and Nicole (Buddy); great-grandchildren, Tristen, Rhett and Gunner; a special friends, Troy Steinel, Sarah Frizzell and Gene Hannah; and all her friends at Maple Leaf Adult Respite. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Barry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
