Lucille Smith

Sible Lucille Thomasson Smith, age 68, died Monday, March 27, 2006 at Memorial Mission Hospital. She was a native of Swain County and was the daughter of the later William Henry and Ada Hampton Thomasson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roland Smith, who died in 1993. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Tonda Thomas of Bristol, TN; two sons, Johnny Smith of Lake Wells, FL and James Smith of Canton as well as seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with the Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby and Reverend Paul Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Long's Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at 8 Smith Lane, Canton.
